Bio

Jenny Ramirez serves as SVP, Unscripted Programming for TNT, TBS and truTV. Over the past five years she has been instrumental in building an unscripted brand at the T-Nets, having developed a slate of premium non-fiction projects across all three networks.

Highlights include launching four top 5 cable comedies: Snoop Dogg Presents: The Joker’s Wild, The Misery Index, TBS’ reboot of Wipeout, and the network’s first cooking competition, Rat in the Kitchen, which recently premiered as cable’s #1 new comedy series of 2022. She oversaw TNT’s award-winning live medical series Chasing the Cure and AEW’s first spin-off series, Rhodes to the Top. She is currently leading Rich & Shameless, TNT’s first foray back into the world of true crime since Cold Justice, followed by dating social experiment The Big D and comedic variety show Stupid Pet Tricks, based on the classic Letterman segment of the same name. Both series premiere on TBS later this year.

Jenny’s passion for storytelling began while serving as assistant editor for legendary book publisher Judith Regan, the force behind Howard Stern’s Private Parts, Gregory Maguire’s Wicked, and countless other bestsellers. After making the cross-country trek to Los Angeles as part of Regan Media’s West Coast expansion, Jenny soon transitioned to television.

Working in FremantleMedia’s non-scripted development department for six years, Jenny learned the ins and outs of the international marketplace, adapting formats for the US and modernizing game shows from the coveted Mark Goodson library. She developed series for A&E, NBC, Fox, MTV, CBS, and Syfy.

As the second person hired in CORE Media Group’s start-up television department, Jenny helped grow the team from scratch and served as in-house development showrunner. She created and oversaw series for Bravo (Euros of Hollywood), Pop (Sing it On), and Lifetime (Prison Wives Club, Preach!).

At Irwin Entertainment, Jenny oversaw all development and served as co-executive producer of the company’s robust slate of NBC specials. She produced New Year’s Eve Live with Carson Daly, Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows and the star-studded Red Nose Day special, in addition to developing Famously Single (E!) and creating Mind Your Business for OWN.
