Sarah Pilla is an Emmy award-winning multimedia journalist for Spectrum News 1, where she covers lifestyle, entertainment and the environment for the 24/7 local news network in Southern California. In 2021, she won a Los Angeles Area Emmy Award in the category of “Outstanding Environment News Story” for her news story “Oceana Trash” on the dangers of plastics and its effects on ocean ecosystems.
Prior to Spectrum News, Ms. Pilla hosted lifestyle shows at Ignite Now Media, and also served as an anchor for One America News Network, and a sports anchor and reporter at KSAN in San Angelo, Texas. Ms. Pilla earned a B.A. in journalism from California State University Northridge in 2011.
