Ronny Lutzi is Co-founder and CEO of Foxxum, a provider of CTV operating systems for major TV manufacturers worldwide, and rlaxx TV, an advertising-based streaming service (AVOD) that focuses on an innovative combination of linear channels and video-on-demand offerings.
Lutzi first set foot into the then still emerging Smart TV industry in 2010 as Project Lead Web Services at EVIADO GmbH. One year later, he developed his own concept and founded Foxxum – a provider of innovative Smart TV solutions – together with partners in 2011. Thanks to the company’s extensive experience, it quickly became a global leader, whose pioneerung solutions (OS) are used by renowned TV manufacturers worldwide.
Building on Foxxum's rich industry experience and technical solutions, he then teamed up with long-time business partner Dirk Wittenborg to launch the FAST/AVOD service rlaxx TV in the summer of 2020. Within its first year, the service launched on all connected devices and in 25 countries.
Since 2013, he has also been investing in various companies with his holding company Kielista GmbH and additionally functions as an advisor for these companies.
At the 2021 Cynopsis Digital Model D and It List Awards, rlaxx TV won in the Best Over-the-Top (OTT) Content Service category – as did Ronny Lutzi, who won in the It List category, which recognizes the most innovative leaders in the digital media industry.
The Swiss-born business economist has lived in his adopted home of Kiel since 2003 and is father to two children.
