Carissa Joy Smith serves as Vice President, Government Relations at Fox Corporation and is responsible for building valuable connections with stakeholders across diverse industries, effectively positioning FOX's brands to cultivate key alliances for successful, strategic outcomes. Her role fosters transformative policy and community engagement, a commitment she has consistently demonstrated throughout her career.

Additionally, advances FOX's intergovernmental relations strategy by engaging with federal, state and local officials. Whether liaising with congressional caucus chairs or local mayors, Ms. Smith ensures the cultivation of meaningful relationships that broadly drive positive impacts for FOX and the media industry.  Leveraging her expertise in relationship-building, she also contributes to FOX's community efforts by identifying organizations where FOX can make a meaningful societal impact, especially in the performing arts, broadcast media and education. Ms. Smith also serves as FOX's representative on several boards, including BizFed, Los Angeles Economic Development and the Valley Industry Commerce Association.

Ms. Smith has a background in government and political campaigns which gave her a foundation in private and public sector strategies. Before her tenure at FOX, she served as White House Senior Advisor of Public Engagement, Presidential Transition Team Engagement Advisor, Biden-Harris 2020 Presidential Campaign National Women's Vote Director, as well as Digital Director and Press Secretary for the Majority Congressional Oversight and Reform Committee.

Ms. Smith is an alumna of The Aspen Institute Rising Leaders in National Security Cohort, American University's We Lead Institute, and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, institutions known for nurturing and empowering emerging leaders. She completed her undergraduate studies at Bowie State University.
