Theo Slipko is an accomplished content leader with a wealth of experience in curation, programming and editorial strategy across a wide range of television products. Currently serving as the Sr. Manager of Content Programming at Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Electronics’ widely-used free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) and video-on-demand (AVOD) service which offers over 2,500 channels globally across 24 countries, Theo has spearheaded the conceptualization, launch, and oversight of a diverse portfolio of Owned & Operated Linear FAST Channels.

With a sharp eye for cultural trends and user behavior, Theo and his team manage day-to-day programming, execute creative editorial stunts, and strategically plan content exhibitions to maximize title usage. At Samsung, he works cross-functionally to strategically plan content acquisition needs, identify & execute workflow improvements and ideate on channel brand identity to ensure a high threshold of quality and success across the slate of his channels. 

Prior to his role at Samsung, Theo held roles at MGM Studios as Manager of TV Programming and Sr. Coordinator, Library Management. In these roles, Theo oversaw the development through launch process of a linear Diginet television channel Light-TV. While immersing himself in the iconic MGM content library, Theo grew his encyclopedic knowledge base of film & television content, developed impactful programming techniques and learned how to ¬¬¬effectively balance the monetization of content between 3rd Party Sales and in-house O&O networks.  

Theo’s commitment to versatility in roles have been evident throughout his career, including his early experience as a Key Production Assistant for American Idol during Seasons 12 & 13. Theo graduated from Ithaca College with a double major in Film Production and Business Administration. He is based in Los Angeles.
