Marielle Kaar is Director of Production & Development for Nickelodeon Preschool. Based in New York, she is currently the Executive in Charge of Dora, the new CG-animated reboot of the groundbreaking series, Dora the Explorer, that features the beloved characters plus key modernization to the storytelling. Kaar also oversees production as the Executive in Charge on the newly greenlit 2D-animated series Super Duper Bunny League, and serves as Director of Production and Development on additional shows on Nickelodeon Animation’s powerhouse preschool roster, including the Emmy Award-nominated Blue’s Clues & You! and Emmy Award-winning Bubble Guppies.

A ten-year Nickelodeon veteran, Kaar began her career in television as an intern at the network and quickly transitioned to assisting executives on the preschool production and development team. She later became the Manager of Animation Production and Development for series such as Butterbean’s Café and Sunny Day. Kaar also served as the Executive in Charge on The BeatBuds, Let’s Jam!

Kaar graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ramapo College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts, double concentrating in Visual Communication Design and Digital Filmmaking. She currently resides in New Jersey and enjoys adventures with her best furry friend, Milkshake.
