Patrick West is Sr. Manager, US Sales at Amagi, a cloud-based platform for linear and FAST channel creation, distribution, and monetization. Focusing mainly on local broadcasters, Patrick’s role at Amagi capitalizes on his 15+ years of experience in media distribution and emerging technologies. He joined Amagi in June 2022.
Before joining Amagi, Patrick worked at CNN Newsource as Sr. Director of Sales and Affiliate Relations. At CNN he helped local news stations address their continual need for relevant and urgent content of all types. In doing so, he became convinced of the importance of local content on any platform.
Prior to coming to CNN, Patrick worked at Inform, a video platform connecting content owners with digital publishers. At Inform, he was responsible for growing video audience and revenue as well as driving other key initiatives with a team of Account Managers. By implementing technical solutions according to each group’s business requirements, he was able to grow available inventory and improve partners’ video operations and monetization.
Before joining Inform, Patrick was Affiliate Distribution Manager for The Weather Channel where he was responsible for sales and marketing activities of The Weather Channel’s core cable network, digital network, and interactive services to cable affiliate accounts across the country such as Comcast, Charter, Cox, and Mediacom. Patrick negotiated the launch of The Weather Channel HD on cable lineups across the country, possibly even yours!
Prior to moving to The Weather Channel Affiliate team, Patrick kicked off his media career on the digital side as a Campaign Specialist for weather.com. At weather.com, he managed video and display ad campaigns on weather.com.
He is an active volunteer for the Atlanta Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where he was among those nominated for their 2018 Man of the Year fundraising campaign. He currently serves on the Leadership Team for the Visionaries of the Year campaign where helps recruit and build teams of like-minded individuals who desire to one day live in a world without cancer.
He is a lifetime Atlanta Braves fan and an avid Georgia Bulldog. In his spare time, he likes to spend time sailing on Lake Lanier, visiting a new brewery or distillery, hiking in North Georgia, or trying to locate his errant tee shot. During Covid, he earned his open water SCUBA certification. He also loves to travel, having been to over 19 countries and counting.
Patrick graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s in business administration.
He lives in Atlanta with his wife Lauren, daughter Rowan, son Bennett, and their black lab Lucy.
