Sean Doherty Jr. co-founded Wurl in 2010 with David Martinez and Sean Doherty, Sr., with the mission to make TV better for everyone. Today, Wurl is the world leader in powering streaming TV, interconnecting thousands of streaming channels from the world’s top content companies with the leading streamers in over 50 countries.

Doherty began his work with Wurl as a sophomore in his undergraduate program at Boston College. During these early years he had a wide variety of responsibilities, from engineering planning to business and product development. After college, he joined the Endeavor Group’s agency, WME, in the Talent Department where he had roles as an Assistant and Coordinator. 

Since transitioning back to Wurl full time in 2018, Doherty has held different roles, including Director of Business Development, SVP of Operations, and most recently Chief Operating Officer. As COO he’s focused on the day-to-day Wurl operations, including customer support, and channel and Streamer launches. He maintains a high-level view of the company and the rapidly growing Streaming market to continually refine Wurl’s strategy, and position the company for growth.
