Denise Bailey-Castro is the Head of Finance for BET. She manages all aspects of BET’s finances across a portfolio that includes BET, BET+, and BET Studios. Denise joined BET as a member of the executive team that launched BET+ in 2019, and she continues to support BET’s landmark, multi-year partnership with Tyler Perry Studios. 

Previously, Denise led negotiations with cable/satellite and digital partners as a member of Legacy Viacom Media Networks’ Content Distribution Team. Her deals provided distribution of networks such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and BET to millions of US homes. Her other work experience includes various roles at JPMorgan, Paramount Pictures, and HBO.

Denise earned her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, MPA from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an Emmy voter, a Trustee of The Chapin School in New York City, and a competitive powerlifter.
